  • Has Been Blocked From Activation On Server Riley
    카테고리 없음 2020. 2. 23. 10:06

I have two servers in my DAG, EMAIL1 and EMAIL2. Currently all mailbox databases are active on EMAIL1, and EMC indicates the copy on EMAIL2 is healthy. However if I try to move the active database to EMAIL2 on any database it fails immediately withthe following result:Move-ActiveMailboxDatabase FailedError: An Active Manager operation failed. Error The database action failed.

Error: An error occurred while trying to validate the specified database copy for possible activation. Error: Database copy 'MBX-DB1' has been blocked from activation on server 'EMAIL2.domain.local'by an administrative action.

Reason: None specified. Database: MBX-DB1, Server: EMAIL1.domain.localAn Active Manager operation failed. Error An error occurred while trying to validate the specified database copy for possible activation. Error: Database copy 'MBX-DB1' has been blocked from activation on server 'EMAIL2.domain.local' by an administrativeaction. Reason: None specified. Click here for help.Exchange Management Shell command attempted: Move-ActiveMailboxDatabase -Identity 'MBX-DB1' -ActivateOnServer 'EMAIL2' -MountDialOverride 'None'/Replication health looks good on both servers, all services show as passing in test-replicationhealth (including DatabaseAvailability).

Not sure what to look at. The only infrastructure item that has changed since the last time I moved a database copyfrom server 1 to 2 was I decommissioned an old domain controller and replaced it with a new one with the same name. I demoted the old DC (DC2) and about a week later installed a new DC2 in its place. I bring this up because at the time neitherserver was using that DC (via get-adserversettings) and currently EMAIL1 has DC2 listed as its default DC and GC.

I don't know if there's an issue with DC2 (it seems to be working for other DC duties) or if it's unrelated, but wanted to mention it. I have two servers in my DAG, EMAIL1 and EMAIL2.
